Assemblymember Ward Statement on Utility Rates Report by the California State Auditor's Office

(SACRAMENTO, CA) — Assemblymember Ward released the following statement regarding the recent audit of utility rates by the California State Auditor's Office: 

“This audit has highlighted critical oversight issues by both the CPUC and Cal Advocates. I am reminded of their duty to ratepayers to ensure utility companies are held accountable for the promises they have made to ratepayers regarding the work they are doing, as well as the completion of projects that have justified previously approved rate increases,” said Assemblymember Chris Ward (D-San Diego). “I look forward to supporting future legislation from my colleagues which will address these issues that were brought to light.”
