LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

Summer Recess has come to a close, and we returned back to Sacramento this week for the final sprint of the 2025 legislative session. From now until the September 12 deadline, we'll be working around the clock to move our bills across the finish line — including measures to strengthen privacy protections, streamline housing development, and protect consumers from unfair practices. It's going to be a fast-paced few weeks, but I'm ready to hit the ground running and deliver real results for our community.

As some of you may have heard, the California Legislature has been considering the Election Rigging Response Act to consider a mid-decade redistricting to respond to other states considering the same actions. This act would put the question to California voters in the fall, whether they would want to take this action. Before I vote, I would like to hear from you on what you think. Please fill out this survey before Thursday, August 21.
