#Gloria100: Assemblymember Gloria Seeks to Find 100 Pets a Forever Home with Second Annual Adoption Drive
Gloria Sponsors 100 Pet Adoptions at San Diego Humane Society, Adoption Fees Waived for First 100 Adoptions July 5-8
SAN DIEGO, CA – If you have been thinking about adopting a pet, the right time may be here. For the second year in a row, California State Assemblymember Todd Gloria (D-San Diego) will team with the San Diego Humane Society to host #Gloria100 – a weekend-long pet adoption drive with adoption fees for the first 100 adoptions covered by Assemblymember Gloria.
“San Diego is not only just a place for people – we’re also a proud pet-friendly town,” said Assemblymember Todd Gloria. “Unfortunately, we have many animals that still need a forever home. That’s why I’m partnering with the Humane Society again this year for #Gloria100 – to find 100 pets a new, loving home. I know San Diegans have such big hearts, so I am confident we will reach our goal.”
Beginning on Thursday, July 5 through Sunday, July 8, pet adoption fees will be waived for the first 100 adult pet adoptions (seven months or older) made at the San Diego Humane Society. Individuals or families interested in adopting can take advantage of this fee waiver at any San Diego Humane Society location (San Diego, Escondido, and Oceanside).
Throughout the weekend, Assemblymember Gloria and the San Diego Humane Society will be tweeting the adoption count leading up to the final 100th adoption. Assemblymember Gloria encourages all San Diegans to follow along using the hashtag “#Gloria100”.
Disclosure: Taxpayer funds were not used in the waiver of adoption fees.
