Assemblymember Gloria Hosts Webinar for Small Businesses Impacted by COVID-19
Gloria Teams with San Diego Small Business Development Center to Help Impacted Small Businesses Access Assistance
SAN DIEGO, CA – With small businesses being amongst the most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, California State Assemblymember Todd Gloria (D-San Diego) teamed with the San Diego and Imperial Small Business Development Center (SBDC) earlier today to host an interactive webinar and Q&A for small business owners. Nearly 300 small business owners participated in the 60-minute online forum, which covered the federal and state assistance available to them during this time.
“Our local small businesses have been significantly impacted by COVID-19 and it’s important we do all we can to support them during this time,” said Assemblymember Todd Gloria. “We put together this webinar to make sure our local small businesses know about the federal and state assistance available and how they can access it. This is part of my continued commitment to make sure all of us get through this crisis together and begin to rebuild.”
The webinar provided the latest information on how to access federal disaster loans, such as the Economic Injury Disaster Loan and Paycheck Protection Program, as well as other resources available through the U.S. Small Business Administration and the State of California.
Assebmlymember Gloria was joined on the webinar by Danny Fitzgerald, associate director of the San Diego and Imperial Small Business Development Center Network.
