Assemblymember Gloria Hosts Third Annual “#Gloria100” Pet Adoption Drive on 4th of July Weekend
Gloria Sponsors 100 Pet Adoptions at San Diego Humane Society, Adoption Fees Waived for First 100 Adoptions July 5-8
SAN DIEGO, CA – If you have been thinking about adopting a pet, now may be the right time! For the third year in a row, California State Assemblymember Todd Gloria (D-San Diego) will team with the San Diego Humane Society to host #Gloria100 – a weekend-long pet adoption drive with adoption fees waived for the first 100 adoptions thanks to Assemblymember Gloria.
“San Diego is not only just a place for people – we’re also a proud pet-friendly town,” said Assemblymember Todd Gloria. “We have many animals that still need a forever home. That’s why I’m partnering with the Humane Society again this year for #Gloria100 – to find 100 pets a new, loving home. I know San Diegans have such big hearts, so I am confident we will reach our goal.”
Beginning on Friday, July 5 through Monday, July 8, pet adoption fees will be waived for the first 100 adult pet adoptions (seven months or older) made at the San Diego Humane Society. Individuals or families interested in adopting can take advantage of this fee waiver at any San Diego Humane Society location (San Diego, Escondido, and Oceanside). The San Diego Humane Society is open through the weekend from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, but will be closed on the July 4.
Assemblymember Gloria encourages those interested in adopting a pet to visit their local Humane Society and follow along on social media using the hashtag: #Gloria100. Assemblymember Gloria will visit the San Diego Humane Society’s San Diego campus on Saturday at 10:30 AM.
Disclosure: Taxpayer funds were not used in the waiver of adoption fees.
