Past Events

For 16 years, the Imperial Court de San Diego has hosted a FREE community event on Easter Sunday at Trolley Barn Park in University Heights. During the event, hundreds of children gather for an Easter egg hunt, games, snacks and prizes, and every child walks away with an Easter basket full of toys and school supplies. New bicycles and wagons are raffled off and the Easter Bunny makes an appearance.

More than 600 children and their families attend this special event every year and it’s because of your generous donations we are able to make it happen. I’m hoping you will help me continue this tradition by joining me on Thursday, March 29 at our Easter Basket Drive in Hillcrest. We are asking for pre-filled Easter baskets to be dropped off at Gossip Grill between 6 and 7 p.m. There will be a short program at 6:30 p.m. Below are details for the Easter Basket Drive:

Thursday, March 29
6 -7 p.m.

Gossip Grill, Hillcrest

It’s an unfortunate truth, but senior citizens are considered a vulnerable audience by scammers. Approximately one in five seniors has been a victim of fraud. Some of the most prominent types of scams occur with contractors. Because of this, I’m teaming up with the Contractors State License Board to put on a free Senior Scam Stopper Seminar in University City.

This seminar will provide both you and your loved ones with important information about how to protect yourself from these kinds of scams. In addition, we will share with you more information about state legislation in areas such as home improvement, auto repair, insurance, identity theft, real estate and more.

Here are the details for the seminar:

Friday, March 16
11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

University City Library
4155 Governor Drive
San Diego

I hope you are able to join me and the Contractors State License Board for this seminar. I truly believe it will provide you with valuable information so you can protect yourself from scammers.
